Eventually rural communities have almost given up anticipating for big telecom companies to expand and bring high speed internet services to their localities. Hence, they switch to an alternative i.e. they build their own service providers.

On a rough estimate, nearly 39 percent of rural Americans have no access to high-speed internet connection while in the urban area it is only around 4 percent. Many residents still lack access to infinite internet in rural area. So one of the major concerns for the country folks is how to get internet in rural areas? Infinite access to wireless internet in rural areas is still a far cry especially with the key players in telecom industry showing little or no interest to reach out in the rural area. Everyone is concerned about how to get internet in rural areas, but the challenges remain the same for the major service providers when it comes to wireless internet in rural areas. Over the years, some service providers from the rural area cobble together to resolve the internet drought and are dedicatedly trying to provide infinite internet in rural areas.

Delivering high speed internet services to millions of rural homes, farms and business firms is still a challenge for the private key players. It may take some more years for the service providers to reach out to the whole 39 percent of rural population, but their effort is commendable. Earlier, many country folks had to leave their home to pursue their career in the urban area. With good internet connectivity, many can now stay back and work from home.
